Volkswagen's 2008/2009 Jetta TDI is one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles in America and is scheduled to go on sale in August of 2008. Volkswagen had to stop selling TDI models in the US until it could perfect its new "Bluetec" technology which allows it to comply with extremely stringent new diesel pollution regulations in states like California. The Jetta TDI will deliver fantastic fuel mileage and performance when it becomes available, and the ability to use biodiesel made from soybeans and other vegetable oils makes this vehicle a particularly green alternative to expensive oil imports.
