Running on compressed natural gas (CNG) the Honda Civic NGV puts out almost zero polution and is considered by the EPA to have the cleanest emissions of any vehicle on the market, making it "greenest" vehicle of 2008. While still turning in some very good mileage numbers, not only is this Civic 90% cleaner than most gas powered cars, but it offers lower fuel costs given the much lower price of natural gas over petroleum-based gas. Unfortunately the Civic NGV is only available right now in 2 states - New York and California.
